Advantages of an E-Reader
1. Portability- E-Readers are light and small. It fits easily into bags and are easier to carry around than books because they are lighter and take up less space.
2. Capacity- People can fit hundreds of books on the small e-reader and you don't have to worry about carrying around 3 or 4 books on vacation etc . 3. Foreign Language- The ability of being able to click on a foreign word and automatically the definition of the word comes up. It saves you the trouble of having to look up words in the dictionary or online. 4. Better Reading Experience (Opinion)- Experts say that taking notes is the best reading experience that you can have and taking notes on the e-reader is easier than taking notes on paper. 5. Reading and Eating- Many people like to eat and read at the same time, but it's hard to do so because you are constantly turning the pages etc. when reading a book. With an e-reader reading and eating in easier because to turn the page you just have to tap it you don't have to worry about turning the whole page. 6. No Annoyances- Sometimes when reading a book you can lose your page and its annoying having to re-find the page. The E-reader on the other hand marks your place and you don't have to worry about losing your page and having to re-find what page it was on. 7. Free Books- There are thousands on free books that you can get on the e-reader store. You don't need to worry about going to the book store or the library to get a book, it saves your money and your time. 8. Discretion- Some people are self-conscious about the book they are reading and they don't want the book they are reading to be known by the rest of the world. When reading an e-reader only you will know what you are reading and you don't have to worry about anybody else finding out. 9. Gain of Space- You won't need to worry about having paper books scattered around your house because all of your books are in the e-reader and in turn you gain extra space in your house. 10. Avoid Traveling- No need to go to the library to get books because libraries have their e-books online and you can just borrow them. You also don't need to worry about returning books because as soon as the due date rolls around it is automatically returned, Everyone's opinions on the e-reader/book is different and everyone's opinions on e-reader advantages differ. |

Many people love the smell of a book and with an e-reader you can't have that. Other people just like to use books to hold up different things such as their couch if a leg breaks. Other people just love going to the library and love being surrounded by all the books on the shelves and it seeming like you are in a book maze. But, many people like a real book because it gives them a sense of accomplishment, they see that they finished this huge book and they feel accomplished on a e-reader you don't get that feeling because you don't see the whole book just a page at a time.
